FRESNO, Calif. – Utah State women's tennis (7-11, 2-6 MW) got back in the win column Sunday, defeating Nevada, 4-3, in a neutral-site match. 

The two teams alternated points throughout the match, with Nevada taking the early lead with the doubles point. The Wolf Pack secured 6-3 wins at Nos. 2 and 3, but Aggie sophomores Renata Lombera and Carolina Millan posted a 6-4 win at No. 2. 

In singles, Millan was the first to finish, defeating Anastasia Luneva (6-3, 6-0) at No. 1. The Wolf Pack took the lead back with a straight-set win at No. 6, but junior Annaliese County followed with a win (6-2, 7-6) over Cristina Moll Alles at No. 4. The Aggies took their first lead of the day as sophomore Zara Ryan defeated Milka Genkova (7-5, 6-4), but Nevada tied things up again with a three-set win in the No. 3 spot. Junior Gabrielle Dekkers battled through her three sets at No. 5, clinching the match for USU with a win over Selina Turulja (5-7, 6-1, 6-3). 

The Aggies head home now to close the season with two more conference matches. USU will host Colorado State on Saturday, April 24, at 10 a.m., then Wyoming on Sunday, April 25, at 1 p.m. Both matches are scheduled to be played on the outdoor courts at the Sports Academy and Racquet Club.
