LOGAN, Utah – Utah State's Christopher Kauffman has been named the Mountain West Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, it was announced Tuesday by the conference office.

It is Kauffman's second weekly honor of the season and the second of his career.

The sophomore from Lehi, Utah, captured one of Utah State's two event titles last weekend at the Fresno State-hosted West Coast Relays as he placed first in the 800 meters with a personal-best time of 1:50.65, which is the second-fastest time in the Mountain West this season.
