PULLMAN, Wash. --- Multiple Aggies rebounded from first-round exits at the Washington State Cougar Classic, winning multiple matches on Saturday to advance into the consolation finals.
 
Seniors Annaliese County and Gabrielle Dekkers, as well as junior Carolina Millan, all won two singles matches to reach the consolation finals in their respective draws. County received a bye through the first round of the consolation bracket before defeating Portland State's Emily Rees, 7-5, 6-4. Dekkers defeated Idaho's Melissa Huchet, 6-3, 6-1, followed by Eastern Washington's Renata Gabuzyan, 6-2, 6-2. Millan beat out Portland State's Capucine Sanoner, 6-1, 6-1, before rallying to defeat Eastern Washington's Scout Mathews, 2-6, 7-6, 10-8. Millan and Dekkers will face each other in an all-Aggie final in the consolation bracket of the Crimson Draw.
 
Sophomore Lisa Kung, USU's last remaining representative in the main draws of singles play, started out her day with a straight-set victory over Montana's Ivayla Mitkova (6-2, 6-2), to reach the semifinals round of the Gray Draw. Kung's run came to an end, however, versus Boise State's Bhakti Shah in a 6-3, 7-5 defeat.
 
Elsewhere in consolation singles matches, junior Zeynep Naz Ozturk came back from a dropped first set to defeat Montana's Rosie Stark, 3-6, 7-6, 10-7. Freshman Brooke Demerath fell in her first consolation match versus Portland State's Maddie Egan (6-2, 6-2).
 
In doubles play, County and Demerath captured a third-place finish in the Red Doubles Draw via an 8-3 victory over Eastern Washington's Yasmin Mansouri and Kenzington Mann.
 
The remainder of both doubles and singles play is scheduled for Sunday.
