LOGAN, Utah – Utah State's student-athletes enjoyed another exceptional semester in the classroom this past fall, recording a 3.30 semester grade point average (GPA) across 16 varsity programs, the department announced Monday.
In total, 86 student-athletes earned Dean's List accolades – up from 82 in the fall of 2020 and 67 in the spring of 2021 – helping boost the department's cumulative GPA to 3.35. The Dean's List is an academic honor roll recognizing students who have achieved at least a 3.50 GPA in 15 or more graded credits.
During the fall 2021 semester, female student-athletes earned both a term and a record-high-tying cumulative GPA of 3.52. On the men's side, Aggie student-athletes earned a term GPA of 3.08 and a cumulative GPA of 3.18.
Of the 377 student-athletes at Utah State, 255 of them (67.6 percent) boasted a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Thirty-two different Aggies have competed in their respective sport while enrolled in graduate school or pursuing a second baccalaureate program.
