LOGAN, Utah – Utah State women's tennis returns to the courts this week at the ITA Regionals in Las Vegas, Nevada, from Wednesday, Oct. 12, to Sunday, Oct. 16.
The Aggies will take on a field of 18 teams, including Air Force, Boise State, BYU, Colorado, Colorado State, Denver, Idaho, Idaho State, Montana, Montana State, Nevada, New Mexico, Northern Arizona, UNLV, Utah, Utah Tech, Weber State and Wyoming.
The ITA Regionals will begin with a round of 64 doubles at 10 a.m. (MT), on Wednesday, followed by two flights of round of 64 singles. There will be consolation draws in singles.
Utah State competed at the Colorado State-hosted Jon Messick Invitational two weekends ago, where the Aggies took on a field of seven teams, including host Colorado State, Colorado, Denver, New Mexico, South Dakota, Weber State and Wyoming. Graduate senior
Monique Burton led the Aggies with a 6-2 overall mark, including a 3-1 record in singles play. Senior
Zeynep Naz Ozturk was second on the squad with a 5-3 overall mark, also going 3-1 in singles action to claim the Flight A consolation title. Junior
Laura Fernanda Eugenio De Hilario also posted a 3-1 singles mark, earning the Flight B consolation title.
