LOGAN, Utah - Utah State midfielder
Kaylie Chambers has been named the Mountain West Freshman of the Week after scoring one goal on two shots during USU's two-game road trip last week.
The product of Arvada, Colorado, scored the opening goal for Utah State versus Wyoming, totaling two shots on goal and playing 74 minutes in the 2-1 defeat. Chambers also played 56 minutes in the midfield as the Aggies generated two goals to earn a 2-2 draw at Colorado State and keep hold of first place in the conference standings.
It is Chambers' first time in her career being honored by the MW. Chambers is the second Aggie to be named Freshman of the Week this year after redshirt freshman
Kaitlyn Richins earned the award following the first week of the season.
