Box Score FULLERTON, California — Utah State women's tennis lost to Cal State Fullerton, 4-2, on Saturday at the Titans Tennis Courts.
The Aggies took the early lead after securing the doubles point with victories on the second and third courts. Junior Zeynep Naz Ozturk and sophomore Lisa Küng won at the second position, 6-3, while juniors Carolina Millan and Zara Ryan won, 6-4, at the third position.
The Titans quickly evened the match via a victory at the sixth spot to start singles play. Millan then put USU back in front with a victory at the No. 1-spot, 6-2, 6-4, over CSF's Yeseung Suh. Cal State Fullerton bounced back with three consecutive straight-set victories at position three through five to clinch the match. Küng had her match at the second position suspended while up on CSF's Natalie Duffy, 7-6 (6), 5-4.
Utah State will look to bounce back when they open Mountain West play versus UNLV on Saturday, March 26, at 11 a.m. (MT). The match will be played in San Diego, California.
