Box Score SAN DIEGO, California — Utah State women's tennis lost to San Diego State, 4-0, on Saturday at the Aztec Tennis Center in San Diego, California.
In doubles play, senior Annaliese County and junior Carolina Millan won at the third position, 6-2. The Aztecs took the doubles point with wins at the other two positions, including by the nation's No. 51-ranked duo in the country at the top spot.
San Diego State secured the victory with wins at the second, third and fifth positions of singles play. Playing the No. 83-ranked player in the country, Bunyawi Thamchaiwat, Millan had her match suspended while trailing, 6-2, 6-5. Junior Zara Ryan had her match at the fourth position suspended while ahead, 7-6, 3-3, as did senior Gabrielle Dekkers at the sixth position, 6-2, 5-3.
Utah State is back in action next weekend against Boise State and Nevada. Each match will be played in Reno, Nevada. The Aggies' first match will come against the Broncos on Saturday, April 2, at noon (MT).
