RENO, Nevada — Utah State women's tennis lost to Boise State, 4-1, on Saturday at the McArthur Tennis Center.
The Aggies fell behind in doubles play with losses at the first and third positions. The Broncos also held a 6-5 advantage at the second position before the match was suspended.
In singles play, sophomore Lisa Küng earned Utah State their lone point in the match with a straight-set victory at the second position. Küng defeated BSU's Joana Baptista, 6-3, 6-2. Losses in straight sets at the third, fourth and sixth positions secured the victory for Boise State.
Senior Annaliese County was tied midway through a decisive third set before play was suspended with the score at 6-3, 2-6, 3-3. Junior Carolina Millan dropped her first set at the No. 1-spot but was tied late in the second set in her attempt to force a third set.
Utah State is immediately back in action tomorrow when they face off against Nevada at noon (MT).
