BOISE, Idaho — Utah State women's tennis lost to No. 67-ranked Fresno State, 4-1, on Saturday in a neutral match at the Appleton Tennis Center.

The Aggies secured the doubles point for the second straight match. Senior Gabrielle Dekkers and junior Sidnee Lavatai won at the second position in a tiebreak, 7-6 (7-5), before senior Annaliese County and junior Carolina Millan also scored a tiebreak victory, 7-6 (8-6), at the third position to give USU the 1-0 lead.

The Bulldogs then showcased what led them to an undefeated conference record and regular season title, winning in straight sets at positions three through six the clinch the match. Millan, at the time of clinch, was tied midway through the final set at the No. 1s, 6-2, 1-6, 2-2. Junior Zara Ryan had also forced a third set at the second position but trailed in the final frame, 3-6, 6-2, 0-3.

Utah State now prepares for the Mountain West tournament in Tucson, Arizona, on Wednesday through Saturday, April 27-30. The Aggies will face off versus Wyoming in the opening round.
