LOGAN, Utah - Utah State women's basketball 64-52 loss to Wyoming on Thursday at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.
The Aggies came out firing, shooting 7-for-11 from the field to start the game, including a 3-for-6 mark from 3-point range, en route to a 17-9 lead after the first quarter. USU's momentum carried into the second frame where the lead grew to 18 points following a triple from freshman guard
Natalie Fraley. A 9-0 run from Wyoming trimmed Utah State's lead to nine points by halftime as the Aggies led 36-27.
Wyoming continued to shrink the lead in the third quarter, opening play on a 12-3 run to tie the game at 39 all with 3:46 remaining. The gridlock persisted as the teams entered the final frame tied at 44. The Cowgirls built a six-point lead in the early minutes of the fourth quarter before a pair of free throws and a layup from graduate forward
Prima Chellis brought USU within two with four minutes remaining. The Cowgirls proceeded to shoot 12-for-12 from the FT line in the closing minutes to then ice the victory and prevent an Aggie comeback.

Ashya Klopfenstein tied for the team lead with 12 points apiece. Chellis also led USU with four steals on the night while junior guard
Olivia Wikstrom posted team-highs of six rebounds and three assists. Fraley added eight points and junior guard
Tamiah Robinson pitched in seven points and five rebounds.
