LOGAN, Utah — Utah State men's tennis fifth-year senior Bodin Zarkovic has entered the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) DI Men's National Singles rankings on Wednesday.
Zarkovic holds the highest ever ranking by an Aggie at the No. 96 spot prior to the dual match season start which is the earliest in Utah State history.
It is USU's first inclusion in an ITA singles rankings since David Cierny was ranked 111th in the nation during the 2022 dual match season.
Zarkovic went 15-1 and holds the most singles wins during the fall tournament season. He also took the singles title from the Bedford Cup in the Mountains, the ITA Mountain Regionals, and the General Patton Invitational. He is the first Aggie to win the ITA Mountain Regional and move on to the round of 16 in the ITA Fall National Championships.
Bodin is one of three Mountain West Conference players in the singles rankings, along with No. 40 Samuel Sippel of Boise State and No. 122 Arda Azkara of New Mexico.
Zarkovic will have the opportunity to climb in the ranks as Utah State will begin the dual match season in January.
