Utah State Women’s Tennis Announces 2024 Spring Schedule

LOGAN, Utah – Utah State's women's tennis has released its 2024 spring schedule, as announced by head coach Veronika Golanova.  

Utah State returns graduate senior Zeynep Naz Ozturk along with the three other seniors Maile Brilhante, Laura Fernanda Eugenio De Hilario and Lisa Küng. USU is returning junior Indya Nespor, along with the two sophomores Jade Brilhante and Magdalena Nunez Pureco. They add to the 2024 roster junior transfer Ceilo Tapia-Cruz from North Carolina A&T and three freshmen Ana Paula Chavez Sanchez, Savannah Johnson and Niyati Kukreti.

The Aggies will begin their 2024 season with a home match against Idaho State on Saturday, Jan. 20 before heading down to Saint George, Utah, to take on Utah Tech on Saturday, Jan. 27. On Friday, Feb. 2 and Tuesday, Feb. 13 USU will take on in-state rivals BYU and Weber State at home.

The team will head on a six-game road trip, first stopping in Missoula, Montana, to take on Montana Saturday, Feb. 17, and Washington on Sunday, Feb 18. They will then head to Moscow, Idaho, to compete against Idaho on Saturday, Feb. 24. On Sunday, Feb. 25, the Aggies face off with Gonzaga in Spokane, Washington.  

Utah State will close out the road trip in Santa Clara, California, when it plays Santa Clara on Sunday, March 10, and in Sacramento, California, when it plays against Sacramento State on Monday, March 11.

The Aggies will open Mountain West conference play with a match against San Diego State on Friday, March 15 at home. That match will be followed by a three-game road stretch, as the team travels to Fresno State on Sunday, March 17, Colorado State on Saturday, March 23, and concluding at Wyoming on Sunday, March 24. They will be back at home to take on Air Force on Thursday, March 28, New Mexico on Wednesday, March 30, and UNLV on Friday, April 5.

Utah State will go on its last conference road trip, traveling to Reno, Nevada, and San Jose, California, as it takes on Nevada on Friday, April 12, and San Jose State on Sunday, April 14. The team will close out Mountain West conference play with a home game against Boise State on Friday, April 19, where Utah State will also be honoring its four seniors.

The Mountain West Championships are scheduled to be hosted by UNLV on Thursday through Saturday, April 25-27, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
