LOGAN, Utah – Utah State's gymnastics team will be at home for the second-consecutive week when the Aggies welcome No. 21 Southern Utah to the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum on Friday, Feb. 17.

The Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference dual meet between the Aggies is slated to begin at 7 p.m.

"We knew at the beginning of season that our depth was going to be tested this year," said first-year Utah State head coach Kristin White. "Unfortunately, each week we have dealt with some challenging adversity, but our athletes continue to show up and fight. We made some adjustments to a few of our routines this past week and will have some new athletes stepping into new roles. I am incredibly proud of the determination and willingness that they have taken upon themselves to do everything they can for their teammates and this program."

Friday's meet between the Aggies (1-6, 1-5 MRGC) and Thunderbirds (10-1, 6-0 MRGC) will be streamed at utahstateaggies.com/watch, live scoring will be available online at utahstateaggies.com and Aggie fans can also follow the Utah State gymnastics social media outlets for meet updates. Tickets to the meet can be purchased here.

Utah State Athletics, along with Nembur, Crumbl Cookies and Gossner Foods, is looking to break the current Guinness Book of World Records mark for most cookies simultaneously dunked in milk at a single location. The record attempt will take place during Friday's meet.

The current record sits at 3,236 and was achieved by the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, on Jan. 6, 2018. Utah State is aiming for 4,000 participants to set the cookie dunking record.

Milk for the record attempt will be provided by Gossner Foods and the chocolate chip cookies are being provided by Crumbl Cookies. The title sponsor for the event is Nembur.

"We are looking forward to having an amazing crowd Friday night," White said. "Being able to attempt to break a Guinness Book of World Records in the Spectrum is going to be an incredible memory. We are honored they chose our program for this exciting event. Our marketing department has been working hard behind the scenes to make Friday night a success. We can't wait for Cache Valley to come out and support our athletes and help break this record."

The series between the Aggies and Thunderbirds is tied at 56. Prior to the 2023 season, Utah State had defeated Southern Utah in five of the last six meetings, but the Thunderbirds have won two straight over the Aggies this year. Utah State has won three straight over SUU at home, though.

Utah State is ranked 46th in the country in Week 6 of the Road to Nationals rankings with an average team score of 194.825. The Aggies also rank 40th on floor (48.960), 41st on beam (48.695), tied for 45th on vault (48.495) and 52nd on bars (48.495).
