LOGAN, Utah — Utah State's track & field teams are set to compete at the 2023 Mountain West Indoor Championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The full three-day competition will take place at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
The championships are slated to begin on Thursday, Feb. 23, at 10 a.m. (all times MT) with the start of the men's heptathlon followed by the start of the women's pentathlon at 11 a.m. The men's and women's 5,000 meters and distance medley relays will conclude Thursday's schedule beginning at 4 p.m. Competition will resume on Friday with the conclusion of the men's heptathlon at 10 a.m. The men's 200 meters and the women's high jump will wrap up Friday's events. The final day of competition will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the men's high jump. The championships will conclude with the men's and women's 4x400-meter relays on Saturday at 1:50 p.m.

Last year at the MW Indoor Championships, the Aggie men placed third while the women finished sixth. For the men, it was the fifth time in the past six seasons it has finished third or better in the conference, while the women notched its best-ever finish. Air Force took home the men's crown in 2022 while Colorado State won the women's competition.
Utah State returns three all-Mountain West performers from those 2022 indoor championships. Junior
Gavin Beierle placed third in the shot put with a mark of 17.13 meters (56-2.50). Junior
Caden Dupee placed third in the conference for the heptathlon in 2022 with 5,192 points, a mark which ranks fourth all-time in school history. And senior
Devin Pancake placed third in the mile at last year's indoor championships with a time of 4:05.32.
