POCATELLO, Idaho – Utah State women's tennis was defeated on the road by Idaho State, 6-1, on Saturday. 

The Aggies fell behind in doubles play with losses at all three positions. 

In singles play, the Bengals took the match by earning points at the first, second, fourth, fifth, and sixth positions.  

Graduate student Monique Burton defeated her opponent in straight sets going 6-1, 6-3 earning the only point for the Aggies. 

In the first position, Senior Zeynep Naz Ozturk forced a third set after a close match and a first-set tiebreaker. Naz Ozturk fell short after a 4-6 score. 

The Aggies continue their season with their home opener match Sunday, Febuary 5, at 10 am (MT) versus Utah Tech at the Sports Academy and Racquet Club.
