CEDAR CITY, Utah – Utah State's
Brianna Brooks and
Sofi Sullivan both garnered first-team all-Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference honors as the league office announced its postseason honors on Saturday.
In all, four different Aggies earned a total of five MRGC honors.
Brooks, a junior from Las Vegas, Nevada, earned first-team accolades in the all-around, while also earned second-team honors on bars.
Sullivan, who was named first-team all-league on beam, is the only Aggie honored this year that has received previous all-conference recognition. The senior from Manhattan Beach, California, was previously named MRGC Freshman of the Year and co-Beam Specialist of the Year in 2020, while also earning first-team all-conference honors on beam that same season.
Seniors
Alivia Ostendorf and
Ariel Toomey each garnered first-team all-MRGC accolades on floor.
First-team all-MRGC honorees on each event and in the all-around consist of the top-three ranked gymnasts (including ties) from Week 10 of the regular season in the Road to Nationals rankings. Second-teamers consist of the Nos. four- through six-ranked gymnasts (including ties).
