LOGAN, Utah – Utah State's Brianna Brooks picked up a pair of weekly awards from the Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference, the league announced Monday.
 
For the second-consecutive week, Brooks was tabbed the MRGC Gymnast of the Week, while also earning co-Bars Specialist of the Week accolades.
 
These are the third and fourth weekly conference honors of the season for the native of Las Vegas, Nevada, and the fifth and sixth of her career.
 
Brooks led the MRGC with a 39.275 in the all-around in the Aggies' 2023 home finale against Nebraska and Alaska last Friday night at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. Brooks' total in the all-around included a 9.900 on bars as she shared Bars Specialist of the Week honors with three other gymnasts in the MRGC.
 
Utah State finished with a 194.600 to beat the Seawolves, who came in third with a final score of 191.750. Nebraska, competing in Logan for the first time since 1993, won the tri meet with a season-best 197.500.
 
Brooks ranks second in the MRGC and 59th in the nation in the all-around with a National Qualifying Score of 39.080. She also ranks seventh in the MRGC and tied for 89th nationally on bars (9.860). She is also tied for 16th in the MRGC on vault (9.775), tied for eighth on beam (9.845) and ranks 22nd on floor (9.650).
 
Brooks and the Aggies are back in action on Friday, March 10, at 8 p.m. (MT), at the Cal-hosted Haas Quad Meet #1. Joining the Aggies (2-9, 1-7 MRGC) and seventh-ranked Golden Bears (11-2-2, 4-1-2 Pac-12) will be No. 15 Ohio State (13-1, 5-1 Big Ten) and No. 20 Stanford (8-6, 3-4 Pac-12).
