LOGAN, Utah – Utah State women's tennis senior Zeynep Naz Ozturk (Istanbul, Turkey) has been named academic all-district, as selected by the Collegiate Sports Communicators (CSC).
The 2023 academic all-district women's team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. Honorees selected first-team academic all-district will advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. Academic All-America honorees will be announced in early August.
Ozturk was all-Mountain West in singles last year, compiling an overall mark of 7-8 in singles at the No. 1 spot and a 3-0 record at the No. 2 spot.
Ozturk graduated from Utah State with a degree in finance. She was named an academic all-Mountain West honoree and an MW Scholar-Athlete in both 2022 and 2023. Additionally, Ozturk received the Wayne Estes Memorial Award, which is presented to a male and female graduating senior who excels in scholarship, citizenship and leadership at Utah State.
