This Week 
Wed.-Sat., May 10-13 --- at MW Champs., Clovis, California, All Day
• Utah State track & field continues its outdoor season this week at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships, hosted by Fresno State, from Wednesday through Saturday, May 10-13. At last year's championships, the Aggie men finished fifth and the women placed seventh.
 
Last Week
NTS --- at Oregon Invite 
• Utah State was represented by three distance runners last weekend at the Oregon Twilight Invitational. Seniors Caleb Garnica and Spencer Nelson competed in the invitation finals of the 5,000 meters. Nelson placed sixth with a time of 13:49.60 and Garnica finished eighth with a time of 14:05.85. Both Nelson and Garnica finished within two seconds of the career-best times, which rank in the top-10 in USU history. In the section B finals of the 5,000 meters, junior Yonas Mogos placed second with a time of 14:00.65. Mogos now ranks seventh all-time in the event at USU.

•  Utah State softball (18-26, 9-13 MW) concluded its 2023 season last weekend in a Mountain West series at San José State (L, 0-2; L, 0-9; W, 7-2). Four Aggies saw time in the circle, combining for a 1.11 ERA. The USU pitching staff allowed 12 hits and three earned runs, while striking out 16 batters and walking 25. Freshman Jaden Colunga led the Aggies with a .429 (3-of-7) batting average, while graduate Gabriella Jimenez led USU defensively with 23 putouts. As a team, USU hit .262 (22-of-84), including five doubles and two triples.
