LOGAN, Utah — Utah State's track & field teams are set to compete at the 2023 Mountain West Outdoor Championships in Clovis, California. The full competition will take place over Thursday through Saturday, May 11-13.
The competition will begin on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. (MT) with the start of the men's decathlon. Thursday's events will conclude at 10:30 p.m. (MT) with the women's and men's 10,000 meter finals. Competition resumes Friday with the conclusion of the men's decathlon and women's heptathlon starting at 10:30 a.m. (MT). The men's and women's 3,000-meter steeplechase will cap Friday's schedule at 9:20 p.m. (MT). The final day will begin with the women's discus at 2 p.m. (MT), with the meet scheduled to conclude with the men's and women's 4x400-meter relays at 10 p.m. (MT). A

Last year at the MW Outdoor Championships, Utah State placed fifth in the men's competition with 50 points while the Aggie women finished seventh with 53.5 points. USU had 12 individuals earn all-Mountain West honors by placing in the top-three of their respective events. Air Force captured the men's title in 2022 while San Diego State won the women's competition.
This season, the Aggies enter the Outdoor Championships with 17 top-five marks in the conference, including the season's top mark in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase (
Brennan Benson, 8:38.94) and top-five marks in the men's 4x100- and 4x400-meter relays.
