LOGAN, Utah – Utah State's men's cross country team ranks No. 7 in Week 2 of the NCAA DI Cross Country Regional Rankings, which were released Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The Aggie men dropped one spot from six to seven, while the women remained at No. 9.

The top two spots in the men's Mountain Region remained the same with Northern Arizona at No. 1 and BYU at No. 2, while Air Force (No. 3) and Colorado (No. 4) flip-flopped spots. Montana State stayed put at No. 5.

On the women's side in the region, Utah and Utah Valley each climbed one spot into the top five at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively. There was no change at the top, though, with NAU at No. 1, CU at No. 2 and BYU at No. 3.

Utah State's cross country teams will be back in action on Friday, Oct. 6, when the Aggies host the Steve T. Reeder Memorial Invitational at 3 p.m. on the Steve and Dona Reeder Cross Country Course.

Both teams are coming off top-20 finishes at the Virginia Invitational last Saturday at Panorama Farms in Charlottesville, Virginia, site of the 2023 NCAA Cross Country Championships.

Graduate senior Camren Todd led the way for the Aggies in the men's 8K, placing 40th with a time of 23:55.8. As a team, Utah State finished in 16th place with a total of 364 points, edging No. 17 Washington by 12.

For the Aggie women, USU placed 18th with 476 points, finishing just behind Mountain West-foe Air Force, which took 16th. Junior Emma Thornley crossed the line in 63rd to lead Utah State with a time of 17:19.6 in the 5K race.
