Utah State Men’s Basketball to Host Weber State in Charity Exhibition

LOGAN, Utah – Utah State's men's basketball team will host a preseason charity exhibition game against Weber State on Friday, Oct. 18, at 7 p.m., inside of the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. Net proceeds from the game will benefit CAPSA.
 
CAPSA is a nonprofit domestic violence, sexual abuse and rape recovery center serving Cache Valley and the Bear Lake area. CAPSA offers free and confidential services, including a 24/7 crisis support line, emergency shelter, transitional housing, clinical therapy, casework, and advocacy. CAPSA is committed to empowering survivors, preventing abuse, and fostering long-term safety through education and community engagement. Last year alone, CAPSA supported 2,429 individuals, helping them rebuild their lives and regain independence.
 
The game will not be part of Utah State's 2024-25 season ticket package. Seating will be general admission and adult tickets are available for $10 with youth tickets available for $5. The game will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network, with a radio broadcast available on KZNS 1280 AM/97.5 FM in Salt Lake City and KVNU 610 AM/102.1 FM in Logan.

"This is an outstanding opportunity against a great in-state opponent, but above all the opportunity to contribute to CAPSA as they make a positive impact on our community. The work that CAPSA does in supporting victims of domestic violence cannot be understated. They provide numerous services to protect and empower survivors while working with the ultimate goal of ending domestic violence in our community. We are grateful that Weber State has teamed up with us for such a great cause."

"While it is a great event for our fanbases in Northern Utah, it is even more importantly an opportunity to raise money for CAPSA and their mission to provide support for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in the Logan area. We also look forward to continuing the partnership to benefit charities in the Ogden community next year."

In 2024-25, Utah State finished the year 28-7 with a 14-4 record in conference play to capture the outright regular season Mountain West title. The Aggies went on to compete in the NCAA Tournament, where they earned a win in the opening round over TCU, the first tournament victory by a USU team since 2001.
 
Utah State and Weber State have met up 74 times in program history, the Aggies holding a 45-29 advantage with wins in 17 of the past 22 meetings.
