LOGAN, Utah – Utah State women's tennis head coach
Veronika Golanova announced the addition of Maria Paula Ramos Garcia to the 2025 spring roster.
"We are so excited to add Maria to our team for the spring season," Golanova said. "She brings a high level of competitive experience, athleticism, and persistence."
Ramos, a native of Guatemala City, Guatemala, joins the Aggies as the No.1 ranked under-18 women's tennis player in Guatemala City.
During her junior career, Ramos reached a career-high Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) ranking of 546. In 2021, she advanced to the San Jose Junior 5 Semifinals. The following year, she won the J5 Guatemala, was a finalist at the J60 Santa Tecla, and reached the J5 Tegucigalpa and J5 Guatemala Semifinals. In 2023, she captured the J60 Oaxaca title and advanced to the semifinals at the J60 Santa Tecla and J60 Tegucigalpa.
Utah State women's tennis opens its 2025 season at home against Utah Tech on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 11 a.m. (MT) at the Sports Academy and Racquet Club.
