LOGAN, Utah — Utah State's gymnastics team posted a season-high-tying 196.275 to place second as they hosted Boise State, Iowa State and Texas Woman's in a quad meet at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum on Friday.
Utah State began the meet with a 48.825 on vault, followed by a 49.000 on bars, a season-high 49.100 on beam and a season-high 49.350 on floor.
Boise State won the meet with a score of 197.025, Iowa State finished third with a 195.950 and Texas Woman's placed fourth with a 195.425.

"I'm really proud of our student-athletes tonight. It's been an incredible day from getting a brand new locker room to celebrating our seniors and having a great home score and ending our home slate here has been phenomenal. Really excited and proud of our student-athletes for the performance they put up today, especially beam and floor. We started a little tight on vault and bars then we were able to finish the meet, so I was really proud of our team."
Rotation One – Vault (48.825)
Senior Brianna Brooks led the Aggies scoring on vault with a season-high 9.850 to place fourth. Freshman Nyla Morabito followed as she tied for sixth place with a 9.800. Graduate seniors Alivia Ostendorf and Juliette Boyer earned a pair of 9.750s and senior Angel Stuart notched a 9.675 to round out the scoring for the first rotation.
Rotation Two – Bars (49.000)
Utah State's bar rotation was led by Brooks and Boyer as the duo recorded a pair of 9.875s, which tied them for second place. The score is Boyer's season high. Stuart posted a career-high 9.775, fifth year senior Lexi Aragon followed with a 9.750 and junior Dani Kirstine recorded a 9.725.
Rotation Three – Beam (49.100)
Utah State headed to beam for the third rotation and scored a season-high 49.100. Freshman Sydney Jelen earned the top score for the Aggies with a career-high 9.850 as she tied for sixth on the event. Senior Jenna Eagles and Brooks tied for 10th as they scored a pair of 9.825s, which is tied for Eagles' career high. Kirstine and Aragon rounded out the scores for USU with a pair of 9.800s.
Rotation Four – Floor (49.350)
The Aggies took the floor for the final rotation and posted a season-high 49.350. Ostendorf tied her career high with a 9.925 second-place finish. Eagles and Stuart both recorded career-highs with a pair of 9.900s, tying them for fourth place. Freshman Nyla Morabito tied for 10th with a 9.850, and junior Amari Evans notched a 9.775.
