Head Coach Kristin White
"Disappointed with our performance tonight. We were hesitant in the warmup and we weren't able to overcome it in competition. Bars was on fire, but unfortunately during the first three events, we put ourselves in a hole and had to dig ourselves out. I was really proud of Avery (Bibbey) for starting off the bar rotation with a career high 9.900. She's been doing those routines in the gym daily and it was fantastic to see it come together in competition. Lexi Aragon has been a rock for this team! I'm so proud of the confident competitor she has become."
Rotation One – Beam (48.225)
Fifth-year senior Lexi Aragon led the Aggies scoring on beam with a 9.850 in the anchor spot to tie for second place on the event. Freshman Sydney Jelen followed as she tied for ninth place with a 9.775. Graduate senior Alivia Ostendorf took 14th with a 9.650. Junior Dani Kirstine notched a 9.500 and senior Brianna Brooks posted a 9.450 to round out the scoring for the first rotation.
Rotation Two – Floor (49.000)
Utah State's floor rotation was led by Ostendorf as she recorded a 9.850, which tied her for fourth place. A trio of Aggies in senior Jenna Eagles, junior Amari Evans and freshman Nyla Morabito earned a 9.825, which tied them for eighth place.
Rotation Three – Vault (48.775)
Utah State headed to vault for the third rotation and scored a 48.775. Ostendorf again lead the Aggies with a 9.850 earning her the title for the event. Morabito and Brooks recorded a pair of 9.800s and tied for fourth place. Junior Payton Gatzlaff tied for ninth place with a score of 9.750 and Stuart posted a 9.575 to finish the event.
Rotation Four – Bars (49.300)
The Aggies posted a season-high 49.300 on bars to end the night. Sophomore Avery Bibbey earned her first event title by scoring a career-high 9.900 to lead the team. Graduate student Juliette Boyer tied her season high with a 9.875 to tie for second place. Aragon and Brooks recorded a pair of 9.850s to place seventh, which is Aragon's career high on the event.
