LOGAN, Utah - Utah State women's tennis (3-7, 0-0 MW) begins Mountain West play this week as it hosts San Diego State (6-4, 0-0 MW) at the Sports Academy & Racquet Club on Friday, March 15, at 11 a.m.

LAST TIME
Utah State lost at Santa Clara 4-3 in its only match last week. The Broncos took the lead early in the match by clinching the doubles point with wins at the first and third positions. In singles, senior Laura Fernanda Eugenio De Hilario won at the No. 2 spot in straight sets (6-0, 6-4), junior Indya Nespor won in three sets in a tiebreak (6-4, 4-6, 1-0(7)) at the No. 5 spot, and freshman Magdalena Nunez Pureco won in three sets at the No. 6 spot by winning in two different tie breaks (7-6(4), 3-6, 1-0(5)). Graduate senior Zeynep Naz Ozturk fell at the No. 1 spot (0-6, 4-6). At No. 3 spot, freshman Niyati Kukreti lost in straight sets (7-5, 3-6). And at the No. 4 spot freshman Ana Paula Chavez Sanchez fell in straight sets (4-6, 3-6).
