LAST TIME
Utah State women's tennis lost to San Diego State 4-2 Friday afternoon in its Mountain West opener. The Aggies took the lead early in the match by clinching the doubles point. Senior Lisa Küng and graduate senior Zeynep Naz Ozturk won 6-2 at the No. 2 spot, and freshmen Niyati Kukreti and Magdalena Nunez Pureco won at the No. 3 spot due to a forfeit by the Aztecs. In singles, Pureco won by forfeit at the No. 6 spot. This was the Aggies' only point during the singles portion of the competition. In other matches, Ozturk fell at the No.1 spot in straight sets (3-6, 3-6), at the No. 2 spot, Küng fell in two sets (3-6, 2-6), junior Indya Nespor lost in straight sets at the No. 4 spot (0-6, 6-2) and Kukreti lost at the No. 5 spot in straight sets (1-6, 5-7). Senior Laura Fernanda Eugenio De Hilario's match remained unfinished at the No. 3 spot due to the completion of the match.
