BOISE, Idaho — Utah State's gymnastics team posted a 195.950 to place third at the Boise State-hosted tri meet with Oregon State at ExtraMile Arena on Sunday.
Utah State began the meet with a 49.075 on bars, followed by a 48.775 on beam, a 49.200 on floor and a 48.900 on vault.
Seventeenth-ranked Oregon State won the meet with a score of 196.950 and 26th-ranked Boise State placed second with a score of 196.750.
Senior Brianna Brooks took home the all-around title, her first this season and the fifth of her career, with a career-high score of 39.325.

"I'm proud of the way our team competed today after another road competition on Friday. We had a couple career event highs, and Brianna's (Brooks) career all-around was a definite highlight. We are looking forward to the Mountain West Championship next weekend in Logan."
Rotation One – Bars (49.075)
Brooks led Utah State on bars with a season-high-tying 9.900 to place third. Graduate Juliette Boyer followed with a 9.850 and fellow graduate Lexi Aragon recorded a 9.825. Juniors Dani Kirstine and Amari Evans, along with sophomore Avery Bibbey, tied for 13th with scores of 9.750.
Rotation Two – Beam (48.775)
Utah State's beam rotation was led by Brooks and Aragon as they tied for fourth with scores of 9.850, while senior Jenna Eagles posted a 9.750 and tied for ninth. Freshman Sydney Jelen notched a 9.675 and Evans scored a 9.650 to round out the scoring on beam.
Rotation Three – Floor (49.200)
Utah State headed to the floor for the third rotation and scored a 49.200. Graduate Alivia Ostendorf led the Aggie with a 9.875 to tie for fourth. Freshman Nyla Morabito tied for seventh with a 9.850. Senior Angel Stuart, Eagles and Brooks each earned a 9.825 to tie for 10th. The score is Brooks' career high on the event.
Rotation Four – Vault (48.900)
The Aggies posted a 48.900 on vault as Ostendorf earned her career-high of 9.925 to take home the event title. Morabito followed with a 9.775 to tie for 12th and Brooks recorded a 9.750 to tie for 14th. Junior Payton Gatzlaff, Stuart and Boyer all scored a 9.725, tying the trio for 16th.

Utah State will host the inaugural Mountain West Gymnastics Championships on Saturday, March 23rd, at 7 p.m. Joining USU in the competition will be Air Force, Boise State and San Jose State.
