LOGAN, Utah — Utah State's golf team will travel to San Diego, California, this week to compete in the fourth annual UC San Diego Invitational from Sunday through Tuesday, March 24-26, at storied Torrey Pines Golf Course.
The 18-team field will play 18 holes each day on Torrey Pines' North Course, which is a par 72 at 7,258 yards. Shotgun starts are scheduled for 2 p.m. (MT) on Sunday and Monday, while Tuesday's final round will start at 8 a.m. (MT).
Scheduled to compete for the Aggies are senior John Cook (Aguora Hills, California), senior Josh Pehrson (Kaysville, Utah), junior Julio Arronte Sanchez (Xalapa,Veracruz, Mexico), junior Esteban Jaramillo (Bogota, Colombia) and freshman Enrique Karg (Guadalajara, Mexico).
This will be Utah State's third event of its spring season after competing in five tournaments last fall. In its last competition, USU placed 13th at the Arizona-hosted Thunderbirds Intercollegiate.
