Utah State Women’s Tennis Hosts Boise State on Friday

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State women's tennis (4-13, 1-6 MW) concludes conference play and its 2024 regular season this weekend by hosting Boise State (7-12, 3-6 MW) on Friday, April 19, at 11 a.m. Prior to the start of the match, the Aggies will be honor their three graduating seniors Lisa Küng, Laura Fernanda Eugenio De Hilario and Zeynep Naz Ozturk.

LAST TIME
Utah State lost both of its Mountain West matches last week at Nevada and at San José State by scores of 4-0. Against the Wolf Pack, graduate senior Zeynep Naz Ozturk and senior Laura Fernanda Eugenio De Hilario posted a 6-1 win at the first doubles position. However, the Wolf Pack earned the doubles point by posting wins at the second and third positions. In singles play, Nevada posted a win in straight sets over Ozturk at the No. 1 spot (7-5, 6-2), a straight-sets win over freshman Niyati Kukreti at the No. 4 spot (6-2, 7-5) and a straight sets win over freshman Magdalena Nunez Pureco at the No. 5 spot (6-3, 6-2). De Hilario, junior Indya Nespor and freshman Ana Paula Chavez Sanchez's singles matches were all left unfinished. Against the Spartans, Ozturk and De Hilario posted a 7-5 win at the first doubles position. SJSU went on to win the doubles point with victories at the second and third positions. In singles play, SJSU posted wins over senior Lisa Küng at the No. 2 spot (6-2, 6-2), Kukreti at the No. 5 spot (6-1, 6-4) and Sanchez at the No. 6 spot (6-2, 6-3). Ozturk, De Hilario and Nespor's matches were all left unfinished.
