LOGAN, Utah – Utah State women's tennis lost its Mountain West home match on Friday to UNLV by a final score of 4-0. USU is now 4-13 on the season and 1-6 in MW action.
 
UNLV (11-6, 4-2 MW) started the match by earning the doubles point with wins at the first and second positions. At the third position, freshman Magdalena Nunez Pureco and Niyati Kukreti were winning 5-4, but their match was left unfinished.  
 
In singles, senior Lisa Küng fell in straight sets at the No. 2 spot (0-6, 6-7(4)), senior Laura Fernanda Eugenio De Hilario fell in straight sets at the No. 3 spot (4-6, 2-6) and Pureco fell in straight sets at the No. 5 spot (3-6, 2-6). 
 
Graduate senior Zeynep Naz Ozturk, junior Indya Nespor and Kukreti's matches were all left unfinished.
 
Utah State returns to MW action next weekend as it plays at Nevada on Friday, April 12, at 1:00 p.m. (MT) and at San Jose State on Sunday, April 14, at 1:00 p.m. (MT).
