LOGAN, Utah – Utah State head softball coach Todd Judge announced the signing of transfer pitcher Rylie Pindel (pin-dell) to the 2025 roster on Monday.
 
Pindel, a native of Las Vegas, Nevada, joins the Aggies as a junior after beginning her collegiate career playing two seasons at SIUE. 
 
"Rylie is a player who can come out of the bullpen and is a proven closer who has been able to take over in big situations and win games for her team," Judge said. "She does a nice job of keeping the ball in the yard and she induces a lot of ground balls and lets her defense play behind her. We feel Rylie has tremendous upside and hasn't come close to reaching her potential." 
 
In two seasons at SIUE, Pindel posted a combined 4.05 ERA in 49 appearances with 133.0 innings pitched. As a freshman in 2023, she earned a spot on the Ohio Valley Conference All-Newcomer team as she finished the year with a 6-3 record and a 3.74 ERA. As a sophomore in 2024, Pindel was utilized almost exclusively in relief, making 27 appearances with a team-high three saves, while recording a 4.37 ERA in 65.2 innings pitched. In her career, Pindel has totaled 68 strikeouts with just 32 batters walked, and has allowed just seven home runs while facing 632 batters. 
 
Pindel prepped at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she was a two-time Nevada 4A Pitcher of the Year. She helped her team to back-to-back state titles in 2021 and 2022 as she posted a career ERA of 0.91. As a senior in 2022, Pindel totaled 16 wins in 27 appearances, finishing the year with a 0.56 ERA in 107 innings pitched with 135 strikeouts. She also played two seasons of club softball for LV Blast.
