LOGAN, Utah — Freshman
Jedidiah Megargel was named Mountain West Men's Cross Country Freshman of the Week, it was announced by the league on Tuesday.
Megargel was the top-finisher for the Aggie men at the Utah State Alumni Challenge on Saturday, placing seventh with a time of 21:05.29 in his collegiate cross country debut. As a team, USU took second with 47 points.
This is the first MW weekly honor of Megargel's career.
Utah State returns to action on Friday, Sept. 13, at the BYU Autumn Classic in Orem, Utah. The women's three miles will start at 9 a.m., with the men's four miles following at 9:45 a.m.
