Utah State Golf in 11th Place After 36 Holes at Colorado Invitational

ERIE, Colorado — Utah State's golf team is currently in 11th place as it shot a 2-under 574 during its first two rounds of the Colorado-hosted Mark Simpson Invitational on Monday.

Utah State shot a 3-under 285 during its first 18 hole and then shot a 1-over 289 during its second round.

Several teams were unable to finish their second round due to darkness. Host Colorado is in first place in the 19-team field at 27-under 545 (275-270) as it has two golfers that need to finish their last hole. UTEP's Dylan Teeter is the individual leader after 36 holes with a 10-under 134 (69-65).

Senior Julio Arronte led Utah State on Monday and is tied for 31st at 2-under 142 (71-71). Sophomore Enrique Karg is tied for 45th at even par 144 (74-70). Graduate Cole Enlow (70-75) and senior Esteban Jaramillo (71-74) are tied for 55th at 1-over 145 and graduate John Cook is tied for 73rd at 3-over 147 (73-74).

Teams will finish their second round Tuesday morning, before concluding the tournament with their final 18 holes later in the day.
