LOGAN, Utah – Utah State's gymnastics team continues its 2025 season on Monday, Jan. 20, at the sixth-annual Les Olson IT Best of Utah Meet. The quad meet between No. 4 Utah, BYU, Southern Utah and USU will take place at 6 p.m., at the Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah.
 
Utah State will begin the meet on floor and end on beam. BYU starts on beam; SUU begins on vault and Utah opens on bars.
 
The podium event will be streamed live on BYUtv and ESPN+ and live scoring will be available online at virti.us. Aggie fans can also follow the USU gymnastics social media outlets for meet updates.

UTAH STATE NOTES
Utah State is ranked 42nd in the nation following the second weekend of competition with an average score of 194.300. USU began the season with a 194.450 at Utah and then scored a 194.150 against Southern Utah.
 
Utah State ranks 32nd in the nation on beam (48.763), 38th on bars (48.663), 44th on vault (48.600) and 59th on floor (48.275).
 
Individually for Utah State, graduate Brianna Brooks ranks tied for 47th in the nation on bars (9.850). Sophomore Nyla Morabito is tied for 56th in the nation on floor (9.850). Sophomore Sydney Jelen is tied for 67th in the nation on beam (9.825). And freshman Kaylie Medrano is tied for 78th in the nation in the all-around (38.125).
 
SCOUTING THE COMPETITION
Utah ranks fourth in the nation with an average team score of 196.788. The Utes are third in the nation on beam (49.275), fourth on bars (49.325), 11th on vault (49.063) and 12th on floor (49.125).
 
Southern Utah ranks 31st in the nation with an average team score of 194.875. The Thunderbirds are 21st in the nation on vault (48.888), 27th on beam (48.775), 34th on bars (48.713) and 52nd on floor (48.500)
 
BYU ranks 40th in the nation with an average team score of 194.413. The Cougars are 36th in the nation on bars (48.675), 38th on floor (48.700), 45th on beam (48.500) and 50th on vault (48.538).
 
SERIES HISTORY
Utah State is 57-61 all-time against Southern Utah, including an 0-1 record this year, as SUU posted a 195.000-194.150 win in Logan on Jan. 10. USU is 52-92-1 all-time against BYU. And USU is 3-97 all-time against Utah, including an 0-1 record this year, as UU posted a 196.775-194.450 home win on Jan. 3.
 
BEST OF UTAH MEET HISTORY
Utah State finished fourth at last year's Best of Utah Meet with a 193.600. USU was third in 2023 (195.800), second in 2022 (195.875), third in 2021 (194.350) and fourth in 2020 (194.150).
