DIRECTOR OF TRACK & FIELD/CROSS COUNTRY ARTIE GULDEN
"Both teams are excited to get back to competing after the semester break. We had a great meet at BYU in December that hopefully we will build off. Overall, this weekend is about assessing where we're at and then being able to make plans on how we'll get to where we want to be."

STILL AT THE PEAK
Utah State enters the indoor season returning six all-Mountain West performers from last year as the Aggie men placed fourth at the MW Indoor Championships with 94 points and the women finished 10th with 27 points.

The USU men's distance medley relay team earned all-conference honors for their 10:07.76 time, taking first place at the MW Indoor Championships, as graduate Brennan Benson, sophomore Landon Bott, and junior Drew Hogan return from that group. Benson, who won the mile with a time of 4:11.48, and Bott, who placed second in the 800 meters with a time of 1:48.81, which ranks third in school history, were additionally recognized as all-conference honorees. Senior Kelton Chenworth claimed his second all-conference honor for his second-place finish in the high jump with a mark of 2.06 meters. Junior Logan Hammer, an outdoor All-American, won the pole vault by clearing 5.06 meters, while fellow junior Javin Richards placed third with a mark of 4.96 meters.

Hammer won two Mountain West Men's Field Athlete of the Week awards last season, while Bott won MW Men's Track Athlete and Freshman of the Week honors.

WELCOME TO LOGAN
Utah State track and field has welcomed four transfers (two men, two women) and 33 freshmen (12 men, 21 women) to the program this season. Eight of the 33 newcomers competed during the cross country season this fall, including MW Cross Country Freshman of the Week award winners Luke Stockett and Ava Trimble.

LAST MEET
Utah State started off the 2024-25 season by capturing eight individual titles and 31 podium finishes at the BYU December Invitational. Six performances from the meet ranked in the top 10 all-time in Utah State history.
