LOGAN, Utah – Utah State women's tennis is back on the road this weekend to conclude its fall season in Spokane, Washington, at the Gonzaga Invitational. The tournament runs Friday, Oct. 31, through Sunday, Nov. 2.

Utah State women's tennis competed at the ITA Mountain Regional Championships in Provo, Utah, taking on top programs from across the Rocky Mountain region.
In doubles, senior
Olivia Halvorsen and sophomore
Natalie Paterova earned an opening-round win over Wyoming's Violetta Borodina and Silver Mijlsma, 8-5, while junior
Magdalena Nunez Pureco and sophomore
Kylee Sperry added another victory for the Aggies with an 8-6 win against Idaho's Chenyue Xu and Hanna Koprowska.
In singles, sophomore
Maria Paula Ramos Garcia advanced to the round of 32 with a 7-5, 6-3 win over Montana's Kate Prichard before falling in three sets to Utah's No. 2 seed Hayley Roberts, 1-6, 6-4, 6-4.
Terezia Mlkva battled Utah's No. 6 Kaila Barksdale in a close three-set match, 7-5, 3-6, 6-2. In extra matches, Ramos Garcia defeated Denver's Claudia Martinez de Velasco, 6-2, 6-1, and Sperry added a win over Colorado's Yukiko Ikedo, 6-3, 6-3, to close out the weekend for the Aggies.
