DIRECTOR OF TRACK & FIELD/CROSS COUNTRY ARTIE GULDEN
"We've had some really positive races for both the men and the women this season but also some disappointing races for both teams. We're definitely looking forward to seeing them put it together tomorrow. I believe both teams are in a really good spot and ready to go. We just need to execute and run with a lot of grit."
AGGIES AT THE MOUNTAIN REGIONALS
Utah State's cross country teams will be looking to earn an automatic berth to the NCAA Championships, awarded to the top-two finishing teams in each regional, or one of 13 at-large berths. The Aggie women's highest-ever placement at the NCAA Regional was a third-place finish in 2004, while the men's team has placed as high as fourth in both 2019 and 2024. Last year in Reno, Nevada, the USU men took fourth out of 17 teams, eventually earning an at-large berth to the NCAA championships, and the women placed ninth out of 19 schools.
POLLING NUMBERS
The Utah State men's and women's teams were each ranked seventh in the Week 5 NCAA DI Cross Country Mountain Regional Rankings. The Aggie women's team has been featured in every regional ranking since 2012, while the men have been ranked in every regional poll since 2016.
