SPOKANE, Washington – Utah State women's tennis concluded its fall season at the Gonzaga Invitational, earning several wins across singles and doubles play. Seniors Olivia Halvorsen and Natalie Paterova led the Aggies with strong showings, joined by standout performances from sophomores Maria Paula Ramos Garcia, Kylee Sperry, and Magdalena Nunez Pureco.
In doubles, Halvorsen and Paterova earned two wins, defeating Oregon's Patsy Daughters and Bridget Mihulka, 7-6 (3), and Idaho's Jessica Matthews and Naomi Scraeder, 7-5. Sperry and Nunez Pureco added three victories, topping teams from Portland, Portland State, and Montana State before falling in a close 7-6 (6) match.
In singles, Halvorsen posted two straight-set wins, 6-1, 6-2, and 6-3, 6-2, while Ramos Garcia earned victories over Portland's Lexie Flores, 7-5, 7-5, and Eastern Washington's Veronika Gayevyk, 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-8). Terezia Mlkva claimed a 6-2, 7-6 (3) win, and Nunez Pureco battled through a 4-6, 7-6 (2), 1-0 (10-7) comeback to close out her fall slate.
