SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah State women's tennis lost to in-state foe Utah, 4-0, on Friday at the George S. Eccles Tennis Center.
 
Doubles
The Utes took the doubles point with wins at the first and second positions. At the third spot, freshmen Natalie Paterova and Maria Paula Ramos Garcia were tied, 4-4, when the match was suspended.
 
Singles
USU battled in singles play but could not clinch the team's first point of the day before Utah ultimately clinched the win with victories at the No. 1, No. 3 and No. 4 positions. The Aggies forced third sets at the remaining spots of the lineup as junior Olivia Halvorsen claimed her opening set, 7-5, at the second position. At the fifth court, Paterova took the first set, 6-4, and freshman Kylee Sperry also took the opening set at the sixth position, 6-4.
