Utah State is ranked second in the Mountain West and 32nd in the nation with a National Qualifying Score (NQS) of 195.950. USU ranks first in the MW and tied for 40th in the nation on vault with a NQS of 48.895, second in the MW and tied for 29th in the nation on bars with a NQS of 49.130, third in the MW and 30th in the nation on beam with a NQS of 49.025, and second in the MW and 45th in the nation on floor with a NQS of 49.045.

Brianna Brooks ranks first in the MW and tied for 48th in the nation on beam with a NQS of 9.880 and is second in the MW and tied for 76th in the nation on bars with a NQS of 9.865. Sophomore

Brooks has claimed 23 event titles in her career, with nine on beam, eight on bars, five in the all-around and one on the vault. Her nine beam titles are the fourth most in school history, while her eight bar titles are tied for the seventh most.
Brooks has 11 event titles this season, which is tied for the eighth most by a senior in school history, as she has placed first on beam seven times and first on bars four times. Her seven beam titles this season are tied with Tana Davis (1990) for the most in a single season in school history.
MOUNTAIN WEST POSTSEASON HONORS
Utah State had eight gymnasts earn 11 combined All-Mountain West honors, including one Specialist of the Year, as announced by the conference office this week. The eight USU gymnasts honored are the most in the MW, while its 11 total awards are tied for the most.

MOUNTAIN WEST WEEKLY HONORS
Utah State had two gymnasts earn weekly Mountain West honors following performances this past weekend against No. 21 Arizona. USU posted its second-best road score of the season with its 195.875 against the Wildcats, which is its fourth best overall score this year.

Brianna Brooks was named the MW Beam Co-Specialist of the Week and freshman
Kaylie Medrano was named MW Vault Co-Specialist of the Week. Brooks earned her fifth conference honor this year and the 10th of her career. She was named the MW Beam Specialist of the Week for the third time this year and in her career as she scored a 9.875 to tie for first. Medrano earned her first conference honor as she tied for first on vault to win her first career title. She was named the MW Vault Specialist of the Week for the first time in her career as she tied her career high with 9.825.
UTAH STATE CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY
Utah State's last conference title was in 2022 when it was a member of the Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference. All-time, USU has won six conference championships (2022, 2005, 2001, 1998, 1996, 1992) and has advanced to NCAA Regionals 27 times.
SCOUTING THE COMPETITION
Air Force is ranked fourth in the Mountain West and 53rd in the nation with National Qualifying Score (NQS) of 194.720. The Falcons are tied for third in the MW and tied for 47th in the nation on vault with a NQS of 48.840, fourth in the MW and 53rd in the nation on bars with a NQS of 48.560, fourth in the MW and 46th in the nation on beam with a NQS of 48.855, and fourth in the MW and 58th in the nation on floor with a NQS of 48.785.
Individually, sophomore Maggie Slife ranks first in the MW and 38th in the nation in the all-around with a NQS of 39.325. Slife ranks first in the MW and tied for 68th in the nation on floor with a NQS of 9.875, third in the MW on vault with a NQS of 9.820, fourth in the MW and tied for 100th in the nation on bars with a NQS of 9.850 and seventh in the MW on beam with a NQS of 9.820.
Boise State is ranked first in the Mountain West and 29th in the nation with National Qualifying Score (NQS) of 196.105. The Broncos are second in the MW and 42nd in the nation on vault with a NQS of 48.885, first in the MW and 19th in the nation on bars with a NQS of 49.220, first in the MW and 27th in the nation on beam with a NQS of 49.080, and first in the MW and 42nd in the nation on floor with a NQS of 49.075.
Individually, senior Emily Lopez ranks first in the MW and tied for 18th in the nation on bars with a NQS of 9.910 and is tied for second in the MW and tied for 91st in the nation on beam with a NQS of 9.855. Senior Alyssa Vulaj ranks first in the MW and tied for 65th in the nation on vault with a NQS of 9.850. Seniors Emma Loyim and Blake Pascal rank tied for third in the MW on floor with a NQS of 9.835.
San José State is ranked third in the Mountain West and 49th in the nation with a National Qualifying Score (NQS) of 195.110. The Spartans are third in the MW and 47th in the nation on vault with a NQS of 48.840, third in the MW and 49th in the nation on bars with a NQS of 48.735, second in the MW and 31st in the nation on beam with a NQS of 49.040, and third in the MW and 57th in the nation on floor with a NQS of 48.800.
Individually, sophomore Devyn Valuch ranks second in the MW and 65th in the nation in the all-around with a NQS of 38.915. Graduate Madison Kirsch ranks fourth in the MW on vault with a NQS of 9.805. Freshman Madison Gustitus ranks fourth in the MW on beam with a NQS of 9.850. Graduate Jaudai Lopes ranks tied for sixth in the MW on floor with a NQS of 9.820. Senior Sophia Konieczny ranks 11th in the MW on bars with a NQS of 9.810.
SERIES HISTORY
Utah State is 17-3 all-time against Air Force, including a 5-1 record at neutral sites. The two teams split its season series this year as Air Force posted a 195.225-195.200 home win on Jan. 24, and USU posted a 195.325-193.575 home win on Feb. 21.
Utah State is 59-60-1 all-time against Boise State, including a 12-18 record at neutral sites. The two teams split the season series this year as BSU posted a 195.925-195.850 home win on Jan. 31, and USU posted a 196.300-195.900 home win on Feb. 21. USU's win against BSU earlier this year snapped a seven-meet losing streak to the Broncos.
Utah State is 19-18 all-time against San José State, including a 3-7 road record. USU has won seven of the last 11 meetings in the series, including a 195.125-194.225 home win on Feb. 7. In the last meeting, SJSU posted a 195.400-195.175 home win on March 2.
LOOKING BACK AT THE 2024 MOUNTAIN WEST CHAMPIONSHIPS
Utah State posted a season high 196.500 to place second at the inaugural Mountain West Championships, hosted by USU, on March 23, 2024. The score ties for fifth-highest home score in school history and is head coach
Kristin White's career-high. It is also the second highest score in a conference championship meet in school history behind the 197.025 scored to win the 2022 Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference championship.
Utah State won one event title during the championships as senior
Brianna Brooks claimed the bars title with a season-high-tying 9.900, which ironically, was her first bars title of the season. Brooks also finished second in the all-around with a 39.300.
Utah State began the meet with a season-high 49.275 on beam, followed by a 49.275 on floor, a 48.750 on vault and a 49.200 on bars. Boise State won the meet with a score of 196.550, San José State placed third with a score of 196.400 and Air Force placed last with a score of 195.450.
NEXT UP
Utah State will be one of 36 teams competing in the NCAA Regionals, which begins on Wednesday, April 2. It will be USU's first regional appearance as a team since 2022.
