LOGAN, Utah — Utah State track and field junior
Logan Hammer has qualified for the 2025 Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships, the NCAA announced on Tuesday.
Hammer enters the national championships as the seventh-ranked men's pole vaulter in the country with his clearance of 5.61 meters (18-4.75) at the Tyson Invitational on February 15. The Nampa, Idaho, product also holds the Utah State school record, the George Nelson Fieldhouse record and two consecutive Mountain West titles in the event.
Hammer became the first Aggie to be invited to the indoor national championships since 2018, when Dillon Maggard (3,000 meters, DMR), Clay Lambourne (800 meters, DMR), Jordan Beutler and Brady Martin (DMR) finished in 29th place as a team, USU's best finish at the meet since 1977.
The junior is scheduled to compete in the men's pole vault competition in Virginia Beach, Virginia, on Friday, March 14, at 4 p.m. (MT). Live coverage of the 2025 Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships will be broadcast on the ESPN family of networks.
