LOGAN, Utah - Utah State women's tennis heads to Irvine, California, for the team's final two non-conference matches of the 2025 dual match season. The Aggies will take on UC Irvine on Sunday, March 9, at 3 p.m. (MT), before a neutral match against Illinois State on Monday, March 10, at noon (MT).

HISTORY
Utah State is 0-5 all-time against UC Irvine, including a 4-2 loss in the most recent matchup in 2023, also the only time the Aggies have faced the Anteaters in Irvine. The two sides met in four neutral contests between 1994 and 2002.
 
Monday will be the first ever meeting between Utah State and Illinois State. The only current MVC opponent USU has ever faced previously is Valparaiso in 2014, resulting in a 7-0 Aggie win.

Utah State scored a pair of 4-3 home victories over Montana and Idaho State. Against the Grizzlies, the Aggies took the doubles point with wins at the second and third positions in the lineup. Freshman Natalie Paterova and senior Indya Nespor then scored singles wins at the third and second positions of singles play, respectively, to set up sophomore Niyati Kukreti to earn the clinching point at the fifth position. USU also won the doubles point against Idaho State and then received singles wins from junior Olivia Halvorsen, Paterova and Kukreti to clinch the win.
 
HOME COOKING
The Aggies are currently 3-0 this season at the Sports Academy & Racquet Club in Logan. USU's 3-0 home start is tied for the third-best home start in program history, trailing only a pair of 4-0 starts in 2015 and 2022.
