MARICPOA, Arizona — Senior Esteban Jaramillo tied for 21st at 3-under 213 and Utah State finished in a tie for 15th at the Wyoming-hosted Cowboy Classic that concluded here at the Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club on Tuesday.

Due to darkness, play was suspended midway through the second round on Monday. Teams completed that round Tuesday morning before playing the third and final round.
 
Utah State began the tournament with a 2-under 286, followed by rounds of 2-over 290 and 9-over 297 to finish at 9-over 873.
 
Long Beach State won the tournament title at 37-under 827 (275-276-276) and the 49ers Charlie Forster claimed medalist honors at 20-under 196 (67-65-64). The field featured 23 teams, including Mountain West opponents Air Force and host Wyoming.
 
Jaramillo carded two rounds under par during the tournament and finished tied for 21st at 3-under 213 (69-71-73) for his best 54-hole score this season. It is his first under par finish this season and the sixth of his career. Jaramillo has now carded seven rounds under par this season and 26 in his career to go along with two rounds in the 60s this year and 11 in his career. His opening round 69 is tied for his lowest this year.
 
Senior Julio Arronte carded a 1-under 71 during his second 18 holes for his best round of the tournament and finished tied for 55th at 4-over 220 (75-71-74). Arronte has now carded 11 rounds under par this year and 26 in his career.
 
Graduate John Cook tied for 62nd at 5-over 221 (74-75-72), graduate Cole Enlow tied for 88th at 8-over 224 (73-73-78) and sophomore Enrique Karg tied for 104th at 14-over 230 (70-79-81). Karg's opening round of 2-under 70 was his fourth round under par this year and the ninth of his career.
 
Utah State continues its spring schedule next week as it competes at the UCSB Collegiate Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, April 7-8.
