SAN DIEGO – Utah State women's tennis lost 4-1 to No. 48 San Diego State at the Aztec Tennis Center on Friday afternoon.
Doubles
To start doubles play at No. 3, freshmen
Natalie Paterova and
Maria Paula Ramos Garcia dominated with a 6-1 victory to put the Aggies on the board early. The Aztecs responded with a 6-1 win at No. 2 and a 6-3 finish at the top spot to clinch the opening point.
Singles
The Aggies quickly responded in singles play, as Ramos Garcia delivered a 6-2, 6-1 win at the No. 6 position. San Diego State extended their lead with victories at the No. 2, No. 1, and No. 5 positions to clinch the match. At the time of clinch, Paterova was locked in a battle at No. 4, tied 5-5 in the second set after dropping the first.

The Aggies head to Las Vegas to take on UNLV this Sunday, April 13, at 11 a.m. (MT).
