GOLETA, California — Utah State senior golfers Julio Arronte and Esteban Jaramillo tied for 12th at even par 216 at the UC Santa Barbara-hosted Gaucho Invite that concluded here at the Sandpiper Golf Club on Tuesday.
 
Utah State finished in ninth place at 16-over 880. USU began the tournament with a 1-under 287 and then carded a 9-over 297 during its second round, followed by an 8-over 296 during its final 18 holes Tuesday.
 
Boise State won the 11-team tournament at 23-under 841 (284-275-282). The Broncos Luke Cushman won medalist honors at 9-under 207 (70-67-70).
 
Arronte shot a final round 2-over 74 to tie for 12th at even par 216 after carding rounds of 2-under 70 and even par 72 on Monday. For Arronte, it is his sixth top 20 finish this season and the 12th of his career. His opening round of 2-under 70 is his 12th round under par this season and the 27th of his career.
 
Jaramillo carded a 2-over 74 during his final round to tie for 12th at even par 216. He began the tournament with a 2-under 70 and shot even par 72 during his second round. It is his third top 20 finish this year and the 11th of his career. Jaramillo now has eight rounds under par this year and 27 in his career following his 2-under 70 on his first 18 holes.
 
Graduate John Cook tied for 45th at 9-over 225 (74-78-73). Freshman Toby Heider tied for 49th at 11-over 227 (73-79-75). Graduate Cole Enlow tied for 52nd at 13-over 229 (79-75-75).
 
Utah State returns to action on Friday, April 25, as it travels to Creswell, Oregon, for the 2025 Mountain West Championship. The 54-hole, three-day tournament, will be played at the Emerald Valley Golf Club.
