LOGAN, Utah – Utah State gymnastics (4-2, 1-0 MW) continues its 2026 season on Friday, Jan. 30, as it competes in the Boise State Quad Meet at 7 p.m. USU will face Mountain West-foes Boise State (2-3, 0-1 MW) and Air Force (6-1, 1-0 MW), along with Sacramento State (2-3, 0-0 MPSF). USU is ranked 26th in the nation in this week's Road to Nationals Poll.
Boise State will begin the meet on vault, Utah State will begin on bars, Air Force will start on beam, and Sacramento State will start on floor. The meet will be streamed live on the MW Network and live scoring will be available via Virtius.

UTAH STATE NOTES
Utah State ranks first in the Mountain West and 26th in the nation heading into the fourth weekend of competition with an average team score of 195.663. USU ranks first in the MW and 18th in the nation on bars (48.963), first in the MW and 24th in the nation on floor (49.031), first in the MW and 26th in the nation on beam (48.800), and second in the MW and 29th in the nation on vault (48.869).
Individually, sophomore Olivia Orengo ranks second in the MW and 44th in the nation in the all-around (39.100), and eighth in the MW on vault (9.775). Junior Nyla Morabito and freshman Alianna Valdez both rank eighth in the MW on vault (9.775). Junior Sydney Jelen ranks first in the MW and 84th in the nation on beam (9.819). Sophomore Lundyn VanderToolen ranks second in the MW and 89th in the nation on bars (9.819). Junior Isabella Vater ranks third in the MW and 88th in the nation on floor (9.844).
MOUNTAIN WEST HONORS
Utah State had four gymnasts earn weekly Mountain West honors following performances against San José State and Oregon State last weekend as senior Chelsea Southam and junior Isabella Vater were named MW Floor Co-Specialists of the Week, while Anabelle Dewey and Alianna Valdez were named MW Co-Freshman of the Week. For Vater, it is her second MW honor this year and the third of her career. Dewey is receiving MW Freshman of the Week accolades for the second time this season, while Southam and Valdez are both being honored by the MW for the first time in their careers.
Vater won the floor title against San José State (1/23) with a career-high-tying 9.875 and tied for second on the event at Oregon State (1/25) with a career-high-tying 9.875. Southam scored a career-high 9.875 at Oregon State (1/25) to tie for second on floor for her first-career MW honor. For Vater, it is her third-career title, including her second on floor. It is her second title this year as she has a bar title as well. It is the third time this year and fifth time in Vater's career she has scored 9.875 on floor.
Dewey placed second on floor against San José State (1/13) with a career-high 9.850. Valdez tied for third on beam at Oregon State (1/25) with a career-high 9.850.
LAST TIME OUT
No. 23 Utah State scored a season-high 196.075 as it posted eight career-high and three more season-high scores at future Pac-12 foe Oregon State on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026. The Beavers won the meet with a season-high score of its own, 196.600.
Utah State began the meet on the bars and scored a season-high-tying 49.000, followed by 48.700 on vault, a season-high 49.225 on floor and a season-high 49.150 on beam. Oregon State scored 48.950 on vault, 49.425 on bars, 49.100 on beam and 49.125 on floor.
Junior Nyla Morabito was the lone event winner for Utah State as she tied for first on vault with a career-high-tying 9.850.
Utah State began the meet on bars and tied its season high with 49.000. The Aggies notched one career-high and another season-high during the event, highlighted by a season-high 9.875 from sophomore Lundyn VanderToolen, who tied for fourth on the apparatus. Junior Sydney Jelen began the rotation with 9.800 and freshman Charley Laufer matched that with a 9.800 of her own, which is her career high. Senior Avery Bibbey scored 9.775 and sophomore Olivia Orengo scored 9.750.
Utah State moved to vault for its second rotation and posted 48.700, highlighted by a career-high-tying 9.850 from Morabito to tie for first on the event. Junior Mya Witte led off the event with 9.750, followed by 9.625 from VanderToolen. Freshman Anabelle Dewey followed with 9.725 and senior Chelsea Southam scored 9.650. Freshman Alianna Valdez wrapped up the event with 9.725.
Utah State shined on floor and scored a season-best 49.225 on the event as the three Aggies notched career-highs and another a season-high. Southam and Vater highlighted this rotation for USU as each scored 9.875 to tie for second. For Southam it was a career-high score, while Vater tied her career-high. Orengo began the rotation with a season-high-tying 9.825, followed by a career-high 9.825 from freshman Sienna Yelle. Dewey scored 9.825 as well and freshman Mara Gruber posted 9.800 in the anchor spot.
Moving to beam for its fourth and final rotation, Utah State scored a season-high 49.150 with three career-highs and another season-high. Jelen highlighted this rotation by tying her career-high with 9.875 in the leadoff spot to place second. Valdez then scored a career-high 9.850 to tie for third along with Witte, who also posted a career-high 9.850 in the anchor spot. Orengo tied her season-high with 9.800, while sophomore Kaylie Medrano scored 9.775 and Morabito posted 9.750.
SCOUTING THE COMPETITION
Air Force ranks third in the Mountain West and 41st in the nation with an average team score of 194.642. AFA ranks second in the MW and 34th in the nation on bars (48.792), second in the MW and 35th in the nation on floor (48.850), fourth in the MW and 40th in the nation on vault (48.725), and fourth in the MW and 48th in the nation on beam (48.275).
Boise State ranks fourth in the Mountain West and 44th in the nation with an average team score of 194.458. BSU ranks third in the MW and 37th in the nation on vault (48.733), third in the MW and 41st in the nation on bars (48.592), third in the MW and 41st in the nation on beam (48.600), and fourth in the MW and 49th in the nation on floor (48.533).
Sacramento State ranks 49th in the nation with an average team score of 193.908. SSU ranks 41st in the nation on beam (48.600), 49th in the nation on bars (48.300), 49th in the nation on floor (48.533), and 52nd in the nation on vault (48.475).
SERIES HISTORY
Utah State is 18-3 all-time against Air Force, including a 6-1 neutral site record. USU is 60-60-1 all-time against Boise State, including a 18-23-1 road record. USU is 13-15 all-time against Sacramento State, including an 8-4 neutral site record.
