LOGAN, Utah – Utah State Athletics continued to raise the bar in the classroom during the fall 2025 semester, posting the highest academic marks in department history. USU's 343 student-athletes combined for a record 3.52 cumulative GPA and a 3.59 term GPA, underscoring the department's sustained commitment to academic excellence.
The milestone marked the 47th consecutive term in which Utah State student-athletes achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, a streak that dates to the fall of 2002. The fall 2025 semester also represented the third straight term in which all 16 varsity programs posted both term and cumulative GPAs above 3.0.
"Utah State student-athletes continue to showcase their pursuit of excellence in everything they do, highlighted by their dedication to academics this fall," said Utah State Vice President and Director of Athletics Cameron Walker. "I am proud of their record-setting performances and all they have accomplished both on the field of play and in their academic pursuits."
During the semester, 87 percent of USU student-athletes earned a term GPA of 3.0 or higher, while 64 Aggies were named to the Utah State University Dean's List.
Women's programs led the way with a 3.71 term GPA, tying the previous high set in the spring of 2025, while men's teams posted a 3.47, setting a new program record. Cumulatively, women finished with a 3.69 GPA and men with a 3.35, marking all-time highs for both groups.
