SPOKANE, Washington – Utah State women's tennis sophomore Terezia Mlkva claimed the program's first-ever individual conference title, winning the Pac-12 Qualifier to earn the Pac-12 singles title. Sophomore Sabina Pintea also reached the final, resulting in an all-Aggie championship match.

The tournament featured a pair of players from each of the eight women's tennis teams in the Pac-12.

Mlkva earned four-straight wins for the weekend to claim the conference title. She started the tournament with a pair of comeback victories, defeating Colorado State's Annika Planinsek (3-6, 6-0, 6-2) in the opening round and San Diego State's Constanza Fernandez Rincon (6-7 (5), 6-3, 6-1) in the quarterfinal round. Mlkva then posted a 6-3, 6-4 victory in the semifinals over Washington State's Chisato Kanemaki.

Pintea also began her run with a comeback win, defeating WSU's Yura Nakagawa (3-6, 6-0, 7-5) in the opening round. She then posted another three-set victory to reach the semifinals, winning over Boise state's Tereza Polakova (6-2, 3-6, 7-5) before besting San Diego State's Tea Lukic in another comeback victory (4-6, 7-5, 6-3) to book her spot in the title match.

In the championship match, Mlkva pulled out a pair of tiebreak victories to take the title with a 7-6 (5), 7-6 (7) win. With the victory, Mlkva qualified for the ITA Conference Masters Championship to be held in Rome, Georgia, on Nov. 5-8. Each NCAA AQ-eligible, Division I conference sends one player to the tournament with the final four singles players then earning invites to the NCAA Individual Championship.
